2 little NSV for me

Options
I know these 2 things are probably small in comparison to getting compliments and stuff but these are 2 big things for me. Yesterday my fiance wanted me to pick him up McDonalds on the way home. Normally I would have blown off my healthy eating and got some dinner there also. But I resisted. I didnt get anything for myself and I didnt take any bites of his. And then normally when I am not working I will go to my fav mexican place for lunch. I was off today and I did not give into the temptation to go there. I wanted too but I didnt. Instead I ate cottage cheese and a turkey wrap. And it was yummy! Those are my 2 little victories I have had the last couple days.

Double victory! Great job!! For me, it's nearly impossible to drive by McDonalds and not get a large regular Coke....those are totally my downfall....I feel yo' pain, girl!

That's SO AWESOME! I agree with the other posters: resisting and changing long-standing habits is a BIG DEAL! I find myself doing things like grabbing take out food or "small" yet bad foods as a snack (argh! a cheeseburger isn't a snack!!! it's half a day's food!!! ;p ) without even thinking. It's fantastic to be getting to the stage where you think twice about what goes in your cakehole. :D CONGRATS and keep it up. What a legend!

Sounds like very significant NSVs to me! Healthy eating is a huge part of this journey, after all.
