soft healthy foods

My daughter had to have a tooth pulled today. (She had a baby tooth that should have been out a long time ago and the tooth that is supposed to go where the baby tooth went is growing in sideways). Ideas for soft and tasty but healthy foods?

all the crap the dr advised is. Mac n cheese, ice cream, Popsicle and so on.0 -
the hard part is she hates a lot of the soft foods. wont touch yogurt, hates oatmeal, does not like lintels, smoothies, not big on pasta (and we are trying to cut out pasta and bread in our diets). Maybe we can do a veggie soup

Can't she just chew on the side she didn't have the tooth removed? We're talking about a baby tooth right? Not getting a wisdom tooth pulled. It can't involve that much of her mouth. Even after getting an adult tooth pulled all they'll tell you is to not chew on that side or use a straw for a couple days.
Mac & cheese isn't unhealthy. Make her some meatloaf or mashed potatoes.0 -

It's right near the front of her mouth (canine tooth). They said soft foods only for right now until her mouth heals.0 -
I get that your daughter may not enjoy these foods normally (probably a texture thing) but if she gets hungry enough, she'll find a way. Post-Bariatric patients are on soft foods for a while so we share tips.
Sweet: Home-made popsicles. I've made them from fruit juice and Greek Yogurt. Apple sauce. Milk shakes of all description with frozen banana and protein powder.
Savoury: There's a black bean and roasted red pepper cream soup made by Campbell's that was my favourite, but it may only be available in Canada.
For a while I called my stomach my "six month old baby". When introducing foods to a baby, typically they have what the rest of the family is having, only mashed or ground up to make it easier to digest. You may do something similar.0 -
If you take tubes of yogurt, and place them into your freezer, you can tell your child it's frozen yogurt (like ice cream), perhaps she would eat that. You could try making her a vegetable soup, that's definitely not hard at all. Even rice would work, you're just going to have to cook it slightly longer so there's not a bite to it. And with rice there is an endless possibility. Rice pudding doesn't necessarily have to be unhealthy, you could also put it in the soup. Sautéed vegetables, like zucchini and mushrooms are very soft too. You could also try tofu, possibly. Small pieces of chicken? With those ingredients there you could make stir fry. The possibilities are endless, just make sure you don't undercook the vegetables!0

Mac & Cheese is only "unhealthy" (Actually just calorie dense) if you buy the store box stuff. Make your own an just add a lighter sauce. Most kids love pasta with some Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.0 -

It's one day and she had a tooth pulled, that can be a traumatic experience for the kid. Let her eat mac n cheese and ice cream. Or just ice cream.
