Low carb and low calorie meals?

For starters I'm a 20 year old male, 6'1" tall, 265lbs and my goal weight is 215lbs. I'm wanting to lose my weight pretty fast (before or into February 2016). I used to play football from 6th grade to 12th grade and I worked out from age 13-18 and quit after high school. After high school I didn't have the motivation to lift anymore because all my football buddies were either in college, working or still in high school so I didn't have the moral to lift. I started working for my dad in his tree service roughly 3 months after my high school graduation in 2014. The spring semester of 2015 I enrolled in community college and didn't get a chance to work so I gained my weight back. (During senior year football I was 260 and after football I dropped to 210 during the rest of my senior year, I had two gym classes so I was still active and I didn't have much of an appetite for some reason so with lifting weights and running at least a mile every day caused me to drop 50 pounds in a couple months). So no activity during college made me gain weight again. I quit college after one semester and kept working for my dad. I pick up heavy logs and throw them in a truck and drag tree limbs and throw them into a wood chipper for 8 hours a day, so I'm pretty active now, just not losing weight! I never did eat "right" when I lifted and played football all this years but I maintained a good weight without eating right. So I don't know what to eat to help me lose weight. I'm starting a new job next week for freightliner so I should still be a little active and I'm also getting a membership at a gym so I can start lifting again. My main goal here is to tell y'all about my life and to ask what is the best meals to cut weight with low calories and low carbs. Maybe include a few different meals ( say 2 or 3 for breakfast, lunch and dinner so I don't eat the same thing every day and lose motivation). Maybe include some personal experience with your diet and some of the things that motivated you during your weight loss. A few workout plans would be nice too! Thank you!!!

First of all, most people will discourage you from losing weight fast. With 50lbs to lose in 15 weeks, that's a really unrealistic goal. The max recommended loss per week is 2lbs, by my calculations it's 14 weeks until February- meaning 28lbs loss total. Granted you may lose more than that in the beginning due to water weight, but as you lose more your rate of loss will slow.
I really recommend you take some time to read through some of these forums. 50lbs in 14 weeks is really realistic and the routes you take to get there are potentially dangerous if you were actually able to achieve it. Most people who lose weight quickly gain it straight back again. Besides, what's the rush? Why do you need to lose weight so fast?
The only thing required for weight loss is to eat less calories than you burn (aka eat at a deficit). The fact that you are active is great, but you'll still need to log calories or it wont make a difference. Is there any particular reason you want to go low-carb? Aside from personal preference it has no bearing on weight loss- calories are the only thing that matter for weight loss, so if you want you can still include as many carbs as you want into your diet as long as you stay within your goal
Advice wise, the thing I've found that helps me is to allow myself to eat whatever I want. I want to keep this weight off once I've lost it, and by building sustainable habits now I'll have a much easier time of it in the future. It may be worth having a think about what eating habits you can sustain- for example if you go low carb now, could you carry that on for the rest of your life?
Work out wise- Fitnessblender is a great site, and also has a youtube channel. Loads of great FREE home workouts that dont require too much/any equipment.
Meal wise, Pinterest is great. Just search whatever you're after (I like 'low cal meal ideas'- brings up loads of great results) and have a scroll through.
Aside from that, I'd reiterate that reading the stickies at the top of each board is a great place to start. Good luck!

There is a low carb forum on here. I find it easier to eat low carb because I stay fuller longer. I eat the same thing every morning for breakfast because I get a serving of veggies and stay full longer. It's eggs scrambled with broccoli. Good luck on your journey.0
