Howdy everybody,
My name is Steven and starting october 20 I am going to be starting a regimen to lose 30 pounds in 2 months. I am 22 at 185 lbs and 5'5 in height. According to several tests I should have 2800 calories a day to maintain weight. I will be having 1800 a day and doing intense cardio and light weight work to burn 650 calories a day. I titled this the healthy 30 because it was approved as a bare minimum for a healthy lifestyle by a doctor and nutritionist for my goals.

Welcome to the boards, Steven! I applaud your goals, but to be honest, they may be overly ambitious and I would hate to see you set yourself up for failure. Losing weight that fast can result in a yo-yo effect and you could wind up regaining the weight you lost. One pound lost per week is recommended. Look at it this way: it took you years to put on the weight, so it will take some time to take off the weight. But... one way or another, I know you will be successful!0

30 pounds in 2 months is not a healthy loss. You'll easily lose a lot of muscle that way.0

I would strongly recommend you find a new doctor and get a referral to a qualified dietician not a nutritionist
That's a pathway to misery and a huge amount of LBM loss...you are aiming to net 1150 calories as a male ..hell to the no
Your BMI is just in the obese category I doubt, subject to medical conditions, you have a medically monitored VLCD in mind
Your TDEE at lightly active is around 2600
Cut to 1600 for an average weight loss of 2lbs per week on average ..your first couple of months you'll probably lose around 20lbs (ish)
Eat back 50% cardio calories on top
Do a heavy progressive lifting programme to preserve muscle mass as you lose weight ..try stronglifts 5x5 or starting strength
