I logged all my food ideas for the day and it is 2pm here and I haven't eaten anything except a noodle I snuck from the tupperware as I made my youngest kids plate. lol. I am so hungry. I just sent my older two kids (4 and 3) to their grandparents and I am trying to put the baby (1) for a nap so I can nap myself and/or eat some food and then be some sort of productive. Tell me it is not just me. lol.

I can't say anything about managing time with kids etc, but I do usually pre-log in the morning so my day and snacks are planned and then I tweak it as the day goes by. It helps me to plan out in my head how to have a good day on target. I actually haven't done that for a while, maybe I should...

I tend to pre-log but I definitely need to eat before the afternoon! My kids would be dealing with a very grouchy mom otherwise ;)

I stopped pre-logging because something always happened and then I'd have to remove it from my diary.

Having said that, I usually have a calorie range in mind on what I want because I plan out most meals for the week. HTH!

You should. I stopped and it made things rough. I started and I'm back on track :)

I woke up originally around 7am lol a little before and I'm so tired! I'm about to nap. I finally ate. I had a vegetarian
"toona" noodle salad (Vegetarian toona, noodles, hardboiled egg with extra egg whites, celery, green pepper, yellow onion, mayo) on 35 calorie toast and 3oz of baby carrots. It was comforting. I have a bottle of water now and I'm going to nap with my 1 year old napping in the other room. Lol.

My first meal of the day is 6:00 pm because I am doing IF.
I hope you work things out so that you can get lots of sleep.

LOL! It isn't just you. I'm always pre logged so I know what I'm eating on the way to the gym in the morning, for lunch at work, and what's going to be for dinner that evening. I also prelog so I'm sure to leave a few calories for an evening treat.

And this past weekend I was so busy with my son and his activities that I literally didn't have time to eat until mid afternoon. I finally had to make myself stop for food because I started feeling dizzy. Yesterday my work schedule was so overpacked that I barely ate all day, so I wound up eating around 3/4 of my daily calories for dinner and beyond.

    Life happens....

This summer I pre-logged on trip days, it was a huge help but day to day, I don't normally pre-log.

As for trying to eat with young children, when my boys were little (19 months between my third child and my twins), all the freaking time. It was so hard to do anything for myself.

Hang in there, it does get better as they get older.

I do pre-log my whole day the night before or in the morning but I actually eat the food. If I pass out from hunger I'm not doing anyone any good.
I eat things for breakfast that are low/no prep like yogurt, granola bar, fruit, sandwich, leftovers. A banana and peanut butter is fast. I have things like carrots and trail mix in the house as well.
Lunch is often leftovers or a sandwich.

I often log my day first thing in the morning while I'm having coffee. As far as not having time to eat and raise kids. . . that's a mystery to me. I raised two daughters from birth to adulthood and can't recall even a day when motherhood kept me from eating regular meals. Among other things, your kids are watching your habits and learning from you.
