VERY Embarrassing question...

Has anyone else had any... stress incontinence since they've picked up exercising? It seems like a weight is always pushing my bladder (even when I'm naked) and when I exert myself physically (or even bend over to pick up something)... I... pee... a little. This has never happened before! HELP!

Sounds like a bladder infection or something of the sort...0

Do Kegels. That will strengthen those muscles and hopefully that will help.0

Don't be embarrassed; we all have bladders! But if I were you, I would see a doctor about that particular problem.0

Any chance you have a bladder infection?
I have the same problem......ever since having kids. I can't run and if I move fast (like in playing soccer) I leak. So ya no fun.
I would talk to your doctor. There are also kegal exercises you can do. But 1st rule out anything with your doctor. Good luck!0 -

well, from what I understand this is a common problem with women who have had children. If you haven't had children (maybe even if you have?), it might be something to take to your doctor.
After my babies, I did lots of kegels and eventually purchased something called the "kegelmaster." Best money I've ever spent. Really
I'm new here, but thought I'd let you know what has worked for me.
Good luck!0 -
you need to do kegel exercises, it'll strengthen the muscles down there and the incontinence will stop. if you want more of an explanation "friend" me and I'll explain.0

I agree with That Girl, I would talk to your doc and get tested for a UTI. Pressure feeling in the bladder typically indicates a UTI or other infection0

You gotta do Kegel exercises...that, and work those pelvic tilts. There's a super kegel too. Not sure how to explain, but I saw it on Dr. Oz's show. Maybe it'll be on his website?
If that doesn't help, you should talk to your ob.0 -
There is a condition that can cause this where the urethra becomes detatched. It can be fixed with a laproscopic surgery. It is an easy thing to test for, so I suggest you see your doctor.0

I had this start happening a few years ago. Especially when I play tennis and go hard for a ball, but even sometimes at the gym doing crunches on the vertical board. Oh and of course when I sneeze!
I'm 52 and had three big babies though! I just keep doing those Kagel exercises and try to remember to wear some protection. I have a friend that performs corrective surgery for that and she said do everything you can do avoid that procedure!0 -
that ALWAYS happens to me, but even more ever since I have had a child! I think it's the fact that I drink ALOT of water before during and after I exercise!0

If it's something new I would definitely get it checked out by a doctor or a women's health specialist.
Otherwise, google "pelvic floor exercises" and get squeezing!0 -
I have the same issue. My doctor told me that it was happening to me because I have delivered 3 babies naturally. In November of 2010 I had my bladder tacked up to help out with the same issue but it did not help.0

I was googling on this exact same issue just this morning and found a very good thread on another forum (sorry MFP ) with loads a tips:
