Just a quick post. I have a 6 month old baby and I put on 60 pounds while pregnant, even before getting pregnant- I wanted to lose 10 pounds that never seem to go. No I'm down 42# and would like to lose 23 more. Any new moms out there? My child refuses to sleep longer than 30 minutes or thru the night so exercise is not at the top of my list right now- just trying to do all this thru diet and so far it's working. Any other new moms out there who want more mfp friends? Support always motivates me!

Hey! I'm in the same boat. My baby is also 6 months. I gained about 45 pounds and lost about 40 but I want to loose 20 to get into my ideal weight. My husband is skinny and can't gain wait so he eats whatever he wants. I need some momma power and motivation too.0

My baby is 2.5 months. I'm off work for the next year and going to the gym in the mornings while my older son is at school. I just started meal planning for weekday dinners and am using shakes dieing the day as it's not always easy to eat while taking care of my little one.0

@ragenhay1: do you bring your 2.5mo the old to the gym, to the daycare? And I'm super jealous you're off work for 1 year!0

Yes there is a daycare there so he comes with me and hands out for an hour. I'm in Canada we all get up to a year maternity leave. I actually got an extra 15 weeks before my baby came off work because of pregnancy concerns. Everything turned out to be fine so I just got extra time off0 -
Canada has it right! I'll have to look into gyms in town here in Colorado- might be worth jt0

I have a 3.5 month old baby girl. I too have put on 60 pounds during pregnancy. I need all momma power in the whole wide world to lose this weight
i cant go to the gym because i dont want to leave my baby anywhere before shes 6 months old at least. I took a year off from work but i still have exams to do so in my free time i study. I have recently started to do some walking while carrying her. She likes it and it burns some calories. Good luck on your weight loss journey and feel free to add me
