    In short, I would describe Keto diet (ketogenic diet) as Atkins on steroids LOL You consume mainly fats and moderate proteins while minimizing carbs. Proportions are different for everyone (and their goals) but you can easily calculate your ratios using online resource (http://www.mydreamshape.com/keto-calculator/). It's not a fad diet, it actually has been used for years to treat different types of health issues. I decided to try it not only to lose weight but also to change my lifestyle. There are many articles about it online (for example http://www.ruled.me/keto-diet/) but personally I recommend the book I just finished reading that has all the necessary info: "Keto Clarity - Your definitive guide to the benefits of a low-carb, high fat diet" by jimmy Moore and Eric C. Westman, MD. I tried many diets before but they only worked temporarily. Jo-jo effect occurred sooner or later. I'm hoping this will finally work :-) Wish me luck!

    I've been on Keto for a few weeks. Dropped 15 pounds this month with exercise and LCHF. Would love to have friends too with similar interests and ideas.
