Losing first 5 kgs and keeping it off

I have successfully lost upto 8 kgs few times in past. The problem is i loose track and the weight crawl back up again. If i had kept off all the weight i lost, i would be at my healthy weight now and a happy person.
With my new dance workouts, i have been doing twice a week for last 3 months which hasn't helped me losing a tiny bit of weight.

You've got to work on figuring out your calorie expenditures and stay under that number! I am a classic 'fit fat' who has always been extremely active but I've only lost significant weight when I've counted calories and now I can see that is the only way I'll keep that weight off long term too.0

How are you logging your food? It's very hard to outrun (or outdance) a too-high-calorie diet.
What has caused you to "lose track" in the past? Have you gotten bored of "eating healthy"? Did you start rewarding your progress? Once you identify what was the main cause of you going back, it's easier to not do it again.0 -
My calorie in take stays around my goal for most of the days and then sudden peak due to busy times and work and lack of meal planning. I struggle to be consistent. I try to make healthy choices but those one off binge have worst effect on my weight loss journey.
In my case, I think its more because of almost non existence of physical activity. Hoping to get it balanced this time with regular logging to MFP food diary and dance workouts.
It takes long to see the results and this time i want to hang ard for longer to reach my goal.
Thanks for motivation lovelies.

Maybe you need to eat less "healthy" and avoid the binges entirely. Don't deprive yourself completely of the foods you like - work them into your goals.

It's not because you're inactive. I could do practically nothing all day but if I stay under my calorie goal I will still lose weight. You eat too much.0
