awkward question

Im wondering if anyone , since losing weight and cutting out the junk....has had issues relating to bowel movements and them becoming loose... I am about to visit the doctor for the second time today, as I have been asked to provide a sample and also need to have blood tests done as for the past 7 days, I have had this issue but only in the morning.
I realise it may be something that some are not comfortable speaking about so feel free to message me privately. I just want to know what this could be. The doctor mentioned celiac something or other but i really doubt that this is the issue.
Thanks for taking the time to read.

Your body may just be detoxing itself especially if you are eating really healthy now and you never ate as healthy before.0

Your body is probably just adjusting to your new fiber-rich and junk-free diet. I get that like on a particularly high-fiber day. the junk clogs you up. and pooing is a good thing!!0

I don't see any water logged ,? if i don't drink enough water it can cause me problems in that department , also i see you eat white bread, maybe switch to wholemeal bread and track your fiber..0

Hi
I was the same in the beginning - I'm sure it was doen to the change in diet & drinking more fluids.
Soon settled down again.
Hope you feel better soon

Thanks for the responses.
I drink a tonne of water , but I never log it as I always forget.
I also ate pretty healthy prior to joining but I have smaller portions now. .. Just cant seem to figure it out adn maybe it really is just a bug?0 -
I seem to have gone the other way... and cant... I think its because I used to eat tons of fruit and I have cut this down significantly because of the sugar!! Its driving me nuts... I feel like that senacot advert with the lady piling food into her handbag (hangbag being tummy). :grumble:0

Hey Gemma
Maybe because you arent eating the fruit, that this is why? Try some hot water in the morning with or without lemon?0 -
I have not personally had that issue, however, I have seen posts in the past from others who have. Maybe I have avoided it because I still don't eat as 'clean' as I probably should. Some people reported there were similar issues for as long as a month.
Anyway. If this is a relatively recent issue, that is happening to coincide with your diet change, then that possibly is the issue. After a while, I would think your body would even itself out and things will settle out a little.
Pardon the pun, but hopefully it all comes out in the end. Good luck.0 -
I have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and this sounds exactly the same as what I suffer with. Every morning about an hour after breakfast or alot of fluid - it's straight to the bathroom!! It's normal, don't worry
you can take IBS medication, but for me, I just deal with the symptoms as my body rejects a lot of medication. See how the test results go, and see what the doctors feel is best for you. But, to me, it sounds normal (even though I know it isn't nice to deal with!)

Thanks Angie, I will try that! I might take some senacot before bed to see if I can kick myself back into some sort of rhythm... also had prunes with my porridge this morning! :grumble:0

I think you need to read this!!

I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but after reading it I noticed I needed to avoid even certain healthy natural products... My sin was coffee ...
Read it. Tell me what you think by email or here.
Hope it helps.
P.s: I avoided milk( even skimmed milk), coffee, red meat, sausages, and I am having flax seed, tons of water , no fat yogurt, pineapple ... I notice the difference from one day to another...0 -
I go "loose" when im eating healthy (fruit/veggies/no potato)
It's normal I would say! I have IBS.... or used to.... so sometimes that flares up but I just go with it.... as long as my bums not bleeding I'm not bothered what its like!0 -
senekot is a laxative its going to make it worse not better!!! i have IBS and if i dont take imodium in the morning 10 min after i eat anything i have emergency trips to the potty! its most likely the fruit and veggie's your eating!0
