I keep getting told that you can eat as much as fruit and veg as you like so should I log it in my daily food intake or just list the macros? Thanks

That's an old Weight Watchers mantra.

If you're watching/counting calories, then of course you need to log fruit and veggies, and no you should NOT eat as much as each as you can (particularly fruits, which tend to be more caloric than veggies).

That said, many veggies especially are relatively low in calories for a given volume, and of course tend to be micronutrient rich, so eating them as part of a balanced diet is certainly to be encouraged.

You should log them all. Fruit calories can add up very quickly and vegetables habe calories too. Of course, one should eat plenty of vegetables but they still contibute to your overall calorie consumption, carb consumption, etc...

I think the older version of Weight Watchers even has a limit on how many fruits and veggies would be considered free.
