So I love love love the BeachBody DVDs. I have Power90. Slim In 6. Chalean Extreme. Yoga Booty Ballet. And last but not least, the entire Turbo Jam series from a couple of years ago.
I have just over 3 1/2 months before I want to wear a bikini.... and I want to maximize my potential here! Most of the above programs work on a "90 Day" type of mentality, which fits perfectly for my timeline... but I need help! Which do I choose? I'm looking for feedback from people who have experience with one or a few of the above programs.
Thanks in advance!!

Well, what are you trying to get out of the program? Strength training, cardio condition, abdominal work? That'll help with the suggestion.0

Ahh
Good point. My biggest issue is I've accumulated a layer of flab over any muscle present on my body. So my core strength is still pretty good (I actually have great abs... they are just under a layer of tummy squish).
So I'm look really to slim down before I focus more of my attention on getting super toned, but I dont want to ignore the need to tone entirely. Just slimming down is the 1st priority.0 -
Personally, I would rotate them so you don't get bored. Just my opinion.0

I've done all of the above except Chalean Extreme. Of the ones I've done, I'd say I got my best results from Slim in 6. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!0

If you want a new DVD set - I would say go with Turbo Fire. It's is fun, Turbo Jam on "crack" so to speak. haha. It's really intense, and burns a lot of calories (with high intensity interval training). Then when you feel good with that, do the Turbo Fire / Chalean Extreme hybrid. Or I would suggest Insanity too - my roommate does it, it's on my list after I am done with P90X. If you think you'll like the intensity of these programs, they might just help you get rid of the last little bit.
For a reference - I lost quite a bit of fat with Turbo Fire, and thought it would be about time to strength train again, which is why I am doing P90X. I have done ChaLean Extreme also.0 -
Thanks Stephanie!
Unfortunately I don't have the $$$ to spring on Turbo Fire, but it looks awesome. I'm going to go ahead and do Turbo Jam, and suppliment it with my Dance Central & Zumba games for the xbox & wii.
I was thinking Si6 but apparently I have lost my DVDs!! Have the books... though they don't help much lol.
I almost went P90, but I just don't think 3 days of cardio a week are gonna cut it for me. I have some pretty high goals and I gotta make every day count from here til' September. Luckily...I have like every Turbo Jam DVD that was ever put out, so I have a ton of supplimental stuff for it if it ever gets easy, as well as giving me the opportunity to change up Cardio Party with the 2nd or 3rd.
Thanks so much for your advice!0 -
Haha, I totally read the above wrong and thought you wanted a suggestion for a new program. Sorry about that. I think your plan sounds awesome!0

I would suggest you add at least 3 days of CharLean Extreme in there for a 2nd work out. Remember muscle burns fat.0
