I am seriously craving a Wendy's cheeseburger and fries!!! Any tips on how to ressist this temptation? I feel like NOTHING will satisfy me except this evil yumminess....

Look at the calorie count! Thenk think of where all that fat- greasy- evilness will end up? Your gut? Your thighs? Your neck? And then HOW LONG it would take for you to burn all those calories. That usually does the trick for me!

umm. try one of the boca burgers, I have eaten them before, they remind me a bit of burger king and then just bake some fries in the oven...? Sort of like fast food, but not quite as evil?? Good luck, I have been fighting with my ice cream cravings since its so bloody hot...

this is my constant battle! if anyone has any solutions that work, i'd LOVE to hear them! i've tried checking the calorie count first, writing down my emotions, drinking TONS of water, substituting something a little less sinful - nothing works so far. if i want something for long enough, i am going to have it, darn the consequences!!!

A kids' meal with a jr. cheeseburger and a diet soda is less than 600 calories. If this craving is going to make you overeat to try to fill it, go ahead and fill it with this semi-high calorie alternative and work out more or eat less for dinner to stay within your calories.

Pick up some low-fat burger patties and low-fat cheese slices . I make a cheese burger for 530 but i put 1/4 of an avocado on it. It is so good. I did go to Wendy's on he weekend i picked up an Ultimate Chicken Grilled Sandwich without the sauce and i had half of the fries. I tossed out half before i sat down so i wouldnt be tempted. That came to 478 calories with 12 grams of fat.

I believe that if you are craving something you should satisfy it with what you are craving. I think if you don't satisfy the craving you are going to end up eating a lot more stuff trying to fill that craving than if you would just have eaten a bit of what it is you were craving in the first place. Eat half a cheeseburger with only the bottom bun, not both. Eat just a few fries. I am sure some people would disagree...but I believe ignoring a craving will just lead to eating more of everything else until you satisfy it. Go to Wendy's! As long as this isn't something you are doing weekly and you eat healthy most of the time I think you should go get a cheeseburger and fries! Just exercise a little more today!

I agree with marnieinMB and Losing2Live69- if you are craving it, you're going to keep trying to feed the craving to no avail. In the past, this has led to MORE calories than if I had just satisfied the original craving. Now, I go with a kids meal and make healthy choices for the rest of the day!

Ok, so I caved in to temptation. BUT, I got a Jr. Hamburger instead of the Double Cheeseburger I was longing for. It worked, I am happy and it only cost me 220 calories. Well worth it. Thanks everyone.

I agree, if you really are craving it and have already looked at the calories, you are going to keep craving it. This is a lifestyle choice, eat it just plan it into your totals for the day.

Edited to add...Great job!! (after I saw that you had replied.)
