sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, but my husband and I are planning on trying to start a family relatively soon. I had also been seriously considering supplementing with creatine to help with my workouts. Does anybody know whether this would be a good idea given my current life goals of having a baby or would it be better to wait? Obviously my health/the baby's health comes first and I don't want to do anything to risk that, but I was curious and wanted to put my question to the collective wisdom.

I doubt there have been any studies on this. I would wait, and instead concentrate on low carb, less than 120 grams/day diet, and take good vitamins with REAL folate (not folic acid), and plenty of DHA.

I'd recommend speaking to a. Doctor before taking any extra supplements regarding pregnancy. Too many people on here offer personal opinions opposed to actual facts. I couldn't see it affecting your pregnancy considering creatine is naturally occurring in your muscles and red meat, but like I said. Speak to an actual doctor regarding any supplements, just like every single one of the labels say.
