pedometer app for Droid that connects to MFP

My sister has an I-phone (I do NOT want an I-phone). Her MFP settings has a step setting. It tracks her steps taken.
Can anyone suggest a pedometer app that does the same? Not one where you have to start a workout.
Maybe one that runs behind the scene?

    Kinda late I know but better now than never. Have been using an app called Pacer. It runs in the background and from my experience, it doesn't drain the battery. It also syncs with my fitness pal
