I bought two different hrm and did not like either one- to complicated for me so good luck and share what one you finally buy because I really would like to have ne that I can use with out some kind of degree or training0

I have bought both since starting my lifestyle change late January.
If you do a bit of looking around you will see a lot of support for Polar HRMs particularly FT7 & FT4. I have a FT7 and love it - you use it as directed and you will not have a hassle with them.
Not sure on avail of the scales I decided on outside Aus but anyway - I got a Tanita UM-051. It actually also has the body fat capability but I couldn't care (not yet anyway) - but i"ve found it to be very accurate.

I loooove my Biggest Loser scale that I got from Target! Its my third try at getting a good scale and I've been using it for a few months now. Really accurate and sensitive!

It said out of stock when I bought mine, too, but my local store had several on their shelves so be sure to check! Also, the reviews on there are nuts - I haven't had a single problem with mine and OF COURSE you're going to weigh differently at different times of the day. Seesh.

I have a Polar F7 HRM and really like it. You can find Polar HRM on amazon.com - I ordered a replacement strap from there. They also carry them at most sporting good stores. I think my husband bought mine originally at ****sSports.
I highly recommend using and Electrode gel with the HRM. I didn't use one until recently and I would often have problems with my heart rate not being correct or not getting a reading - but since I started using an Electorde Gel I always get a good heart rate reading. I use Parker Spectra 360 Electrode Gel - which I also ordered from amazon.com.0 -

3rd try at getting a good scale? How did you know the first 2 weren't correct?0 -
I track my workouts with an Android App, but the HRM I use is a Zephyr HXM. It links to the phone via bluetooth.
If you already have a smartphone, why buy another clunky device?0 -

What is the app called?0 -
http://www.sportstracklive.com/
That gives me all the info I need. That's what I use to enter "calories burned" in the Myfitnesspal app.0
