hello, I found an item listed as "starbucks mocha" (not healthy I know) but the only option it gives me for serving size is "one bottle." how does this "bottle" correspond to normal starbucks sizes? (tall, grande, venti)

The Starbucks website has great nutrition information. You can "build" your own drink (tall, venti, grande/nonfat milk, whole milk, 2%...whatever) and it gives you all the info. Then you can create your own entry in MFP. This will be especially handy if you get the same drink all the time.

Add the size you got to the search bar ex. "Starbucks mocha tall" and search again. There are all kinds of starbucks entries. You should be able to find one that fits.

"here are the size options: tall (12 ounces), grande (16), venti (24), and trenta (31)"

So find out how many ounces are in a "bottle" & tell MFP that many ounces,
or just enter the size name into your search string.
