I'd really appreciate ways I can improve my metabolism such as what foods I could eat and maybe meal and snack ideas along with any other ideas!

I'd first ask how you came to the conclusion you have a damaged metabolism

Please take your questions to your recovery team...they are in a much better position to help you than random internet posters

If you are currently under-eating I'd suggest following what they call a reverse diet. Basically what you do is increase your daily calories by 50-100 each week until you start to gain weight. I did this and went from eating around 2000 calories, maintaining my weight, to 2400, still maintaining my weight. Over the course of the month that I did that I didn't put on any weight. Hope this helps!

I don't know how you damaged it, but time and exercise are usually best if you were undereating. Building muscle will help, even if it's not so much that you get bulky. Every little bit helps.

Some people say they never recover. I don't know about that. I do know that a year after those who undereat have started eating, they are usually bouncing back.

If you're seriously concerned, ask the doctor about it. They should be able to look into it and give you some strategy.

No food is going to affect your metabolism as much as regular exercise will.

You are in recovery from an eating disorder

The answers you need should come from your real life therapy and medical team
