Is there a way to organize the recipes on MFP? I have entered many many recipes but there seems to be no way to organize them.
Please share with me how you keep your recipes organized on here!
Thanks so much!!

Just being able to do a search would be a vast improvement. I have so many now, I just make a new one every time because it's faster than going through everything and editing it (which doesn't work half the time anyway).

You can edit them one by one And i did it this way

    All chicken recipes start with
    1.chicken curry
    1.garlic chicken
    1. Hawaiian chicken

    etc etc

    all soups with

    2. bean soup
    2. pie soup
    2. tomato soup
    2. veggie soup

    etc

    all fish dishes
    3. Swedish Cod
    3. Italian Tilapia
    3. Tilapia Cumin

    etc etc

This way all the numbers are together and i have a little bit of a group
it isn't much of a system but at least something.
I didnt find any better way to organize it in MFP

I don't think that's available yet either. I have at least 17 pages. Sometimes when it's a recipe I use all the time, like canned items, favorite dishes, etc they get buried. Since recipes are by date on website, I periodically have to retrieve one, make a minor change and get it back near top of queue. Also purge once or twice a year.

Now that this is subscription service I hope to see improvement in this area soon. Even being able to alphabetize recipes would be helpful. While I'm wishing, it'd be great to use recipes in recipes, also. I often make things that become components of other dishes. Always a bummer I can't log them.

I don't think there is an option to do this but it would be super handy to have! I'm just printing them off at the moment and saving them in a folder.

I would love to be able to do this too. What I do is enter my recipes under a name I will recognize (Kayla's Chili, etc) and then you can search that name just like you would any other food when logging a meal. It also makes it easier because then my husband can easily log my recipes without entering them all over again in his MFP profile. Hope this helps a little.

I agree with this! I make many variations of the same things and have had to re-create as new meals each time.

You can edit a recipe There is a edit button.

Click on the recipe and on the right side there is edit
When you have it in edit you can change ingredients quantities remove or add ingredients and serving sizes etc. ...you can change the title :) So for instead all your chicken recipes keep the same title but you put a 1. infront of it
Your crock pot recipes all a 2
    your soups all a 3

    etc.

Its not much of a sorting but at least something

BTW i stopped making recipes in MFP
I Found out i find making a meal is also handy.

I can edit them but not change the amount of servings if I use my computer, which is pretty much pointless. I mean, there's a button for it, it just doesn't work half the time...

Yeah it's been going on for months. I have to use my phone app to change the number of servings, but if it's a recent recipe, it won't be in the app, so I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the app for it to show up. It SUCKS. So... easier to just make a new recipe (or 3... like yesterday... when I ended up eating a cold dinner by the time I had weighed and entered everything).

I started to use the Meal option more and more
    Find it easier atm

Just select the meal and when it is in the diary i can edit the grams, add ingredients or remove
