I love my morning walks with my friend. And riding my speed bike at home while I watch TV. I am down about 30 lbs just from that. I'm new to fitness pal. And I hope to shead 50 more lbs over time doing this.

Way to go!
Another component of fitness is strength or resistance training. As you get closer to goal this becomes more important. Strength training helps you keep a larger percentage of existing lean muscle. You don't want to get to goal and still be all jiggly.
Strength training won't burn as many calories as your bike.....but calorie deficit is mainly eating less anyway.0 -
I agree with TeaBea.
I think you have hit on one of the things that makes this so successful...if you eat what you enjoy in moderation and you also enjoy the physical activity, it is not a chore to keep it up.
