The infamous LOVE handles

While I've seen great improvement at the gym and became much slimer, I still can't seem to shake those love handles. This has always been a hard spot for me and while my wife dosnt want them to go, the time has come.
My question for you all is, what are some exercises to work that area and get rid of or reduce my love handles? Thanks.

Also is this a common trouble spot for other men?

The last fat to lose is the first place it's stored-for men that's around the middle and the love handles are where it starts. I'm at 12% body fat and still feel like I have love handles. If you find a secret to getting rid of them besides extra cardio please share.0

You can't spot reduce. Your body unfortunately chooses to lose fat there last. Keep dropping fat through a calorie deficit and it will come off.0

Welcome to the club, my friend. I have to be well under 15% BF before my handles disappear. And they reappear as soon as I go two jellybeans over maintenance0

So nice to here guys have a last place to lose too.
The advice is the same as it is for us women and our tummies. Keep losing, you can't spot reduce fat.

Only about 90% of us.
No such thing as spot reduction. You can do all the ab exercises you want, but until you lose the fat (via a caloric deficit), all you'll have is strong muscles underneath a layer of fat. As the saying goes, "abs are made in the kitchen". Your genetics dictate where/how the fat comes off, and no exercise, food or supplement will change that.0 -
You will probably always have a deposit of fat you don't like
I'm at 12-12.5% and love handles are gone, but some lower abdominal fat is there I am trying to lose.
It seems fitness is a thing of progress not perfection
It helps to be happy with the progress we have made while working toward our new goals.
Hang in there and keep burning off body fat.0 -
I'm part of the 90%. Only now they, my love handles, are smaller and kinda cute. Infuriating, but cute. ;-)0
