I had to post this somewhere - maybe someone will explain what is the big deal about all day breakfast at McDonalds? Who would want pancakes at 7pm and why?
What is the big deal?
I'm older and I just do not understand.
Stock has finally moved up after years and years because of this dumb all day breakfast thing.

I never want McD's pancakes, but their mcmuffins...

As for generally wanting pancakes at night, yeah traditional breakfast foods are great in the dark!

I actually prefer sweet breakfast things like pancakes, donuts and cereal in the evening.

I like breakfast in the morning so I don't understand the breakfast craze at night either

either way, a home cooked breakfast is better than a fast food one

unless you have work priorities or something like that

and anyway I don't eat breakfast usually

At night if I'm having a fast food kick I'll have Taco Bell

I usually avoid McCrap, but I can eat breakfast food just about any time of the day and enjoy it. They shouldn't even call it breakfast food, they should just call it good food.

I'm not a breakfast fan, but their burritos are pretty yummy, or maybe it's just the picante sauce!

I don't care what anyone says, Hot & Spicy McChicken with no lettuce and a packet of hot sauce is a mouthgasm.

Where are you that you can get a hot and spicy mcchicken? They were discontinued about 2 years ago around here.

I worked at McDonald's for a while and most McDonald's already offered hotcakes, cinnamon buns, oatmeal, and sausage burritos all day. When I heard that they were going to sell sandwiches too, my reaction was "Glad I don't work there anymore," as I knew that it would just complicate things. McDonald's has been saying for years that they are trying to simplify their menu and they are doing the opposite of that.

Yep. Like they really need both a McDouble and Double Cheeseburger on their menu. An extra menu item because of one slice of cheese.

That one slice of cheese is really important! It's usually a 30 cents difference between the two and an extra slice of cheese is 30 cents, so a double cheeseburger is exactly the same as ordering a McDouble with extra cheese in both price and taste. The only reason I ever figured for this is that some people are not regular customers and will order a double cheeseburger without even looking at the menu and that's earning McDonald's slightly more than if a person were to actually ask about the difference. But it's still stupid.
A lot of employees would ask if people actually wanted a double cheeseburger or a McDouble, increasing service time by not only asking, but also having to explain the difference. It also leads to increased service times when people are like "Why is a double cheeseburger so much?! I thought it was so-and-so dollars??" and then you have to explain the difference between the two and change the order because they actually wanted the 30 cent cheaper McDouble.

Well some people work at night & sleep during the day, so their breakfast might be at 9:00 P.M. because they have to go to work at 11:00 P.M.

Otherwise for me most breakfast foods are as sweet as desserts are, so I don't consume them as a meal; I consume them as a dessert instead. I just believe that meals should be hearty.

Personally, I don't link foods to times of day. Food is food. Sometimes I want ice cream for breakfast and grits for dinner... it doesn't matter when I eat it... it still serves the same purpose and damn well better taste good, otherwise, why am I eating it.

Really? That's crazy. I live in Arizona, but I've ordered them in California, New Mexico, and Nevada as well within the last 2 years or so. Where are you?

Pancakes anytime is a great thing. But McDoanlds??!!! Often, after landing at Newark, we would stop at the dinner for a meal. At anytime breakfast is a great idea. WHY anyone would eat ANYTHING at McDonalds escapes me. Anything they serve is better at so many other places. Save for their fries ;-)

I think it's good that I can get a sausage and egg mcmuffin at 7pm if I want.
Now they just need to let me have a quarter punder with cheese at 6am and we're good.
