question. My fat breakdown only shows 3 grams but my total shows 43 throwing my macros way off.
Saturated 3
Poly 0
Mono 0
Trans 0
Total 43
How is this possible? Or is it just an error in the program?

Lots of entries don't have information for poly and mono, but will include them in total fat. Depending on the labeling/entry you choose they might also be missing specific information for sat or trans, I suppose.0 -
Many products don't show the breakdown and even more users don't enter everything on the nutrition labels. Your total fats are probably pretty accurate, while the breakdowns are basically random.0

The thing is I did not eat 43 grams of fat already. Only 2 eggs and some non dairy creamer. It added fat for my apple!0

I bar code everything and the breakdown on this ap only shows 3 grams.0

It added fat for creamer, nuts, eggs, potato bread, and animal stack. 5, 24, 11, 2, 1 respectively. Showing zero for apple.
Sometimes the app and the website don't jibe. I'm looking at the site.0 -
I used this ap for several years and just started using it again. It didn't use to do this. Guess I should have left it uninstalled lol it's frustrating me.0

Eggs. Egg yolks have fat in them.0

It's an occasional glitch. I like the app. Nonetheless, your diary has you listed as eating 43 and the foods do add up to that. Maybe I'm not understanding what the discrepancy is.0
-
Ok nevermind. I guess the ap just doesn't break down poly and mono fats. Not sure why it tracks those then but ok. Question answered.0

It lists several macros that are not necessarily broken down on labels. Potassium is another. It's not required on labels from the FDA. Some folks take the time to track them down as they need to know them for health issues. What is required on labels varies from country to county.0
-
That explains why I'm alway low on Potassium intake. Ok thank you!0

As stated the breakdown is not accurate because often in nutrition labels the only fat breakdown given is the amount of Saturated Fat, not the others. In terms of total fat amount based on looking at your diary (Oct 28) it looks about right. In other words, ignore the breakdown information, it is useless because the original information would not be complete, just pay attention to the total fat.0
