Hungry days

Do any of you ever have days when you are just hungry? This was my 14th day with no problems staying faithful, but today was rough. I was STARVING all day. I had determined to be done eating when I was just calories away from my goal, but then I came home and my husband had made tuna casserole. I didn't think twice about eating not 1, but 2 helpings. So I went over by 500+ calories. Just confessing here and wondering is anyone else ever has days of hunger all day, and if so, what do you do about it? What can satisfy that hunger? I did drink water all day too.

i try to still stick to my calories but, if i go over, i just start anew the next day and if i still have the hungry feeling on the next day too, than instead of regular meals, i eat small amounts of dense type foods that have protein/fat/fiber in them throughout the day and usually stay within my calories that way..

Of course! We're humans and things happen - just log it, analyze it why it happened, and move on. No big deal.

When I was losing, I did it by setting up a moderate deficit and I rarely felt hungry. But, there were a couple of days (usually a day after intensive cardio) that I just felt ravenous and on those days I inhaled 2-3 servings of serial at night. But then I realized why it was happening, and started to eat most of the exercise calories burnt during intensive cardio the same day - that put a stop to feeling hungry the next day.

    Keep on with the plan.

Totally! As I continue I notice that my hungry days are usually followed by "not hungry" days so it tends to even out. Whatever the case maybe, you ate it - hopefully you enjoyed it (I really try to enjoy the food if I'm going over) - and tomorrow is a new day. Nothing is blown and nothing is ruined. Keep on trucking!

Yes, my hunger fluctuates. I try to pay attention to it and eat to my hunger. So, some days I eat under my goal and other days I eat over. I keep an eye on my weekly and monthly totals to be sure that I'm not over or undereating by too much.

Some people just aren't equally hungry every single day! :)

i feel that way almost everyday. I was a competitive swimmer from 9-17 and as you could imagine especially in my high school days i ate A LOT. I still WANT to eat like that but I can't. Not swimming anymore and still eating like that is how I gained 20 pounds :(

We've all had 'hungry days' :)
My advice? Eat, log and move on.

I'm not for one moment encouraging you to go over-board - always be mindful. But always listen to your body!

Thank you so much, everyone. All of your words are encouraging and help me to press on and not stress or let guilt master me. So glad to have your support. I am back on track today - feeling determined to continue going forward. I hope everyone has a great day.

Every day I bring the same snacks to get me through until lunch at work. Most days they are enough, but every once in a while I am absolutely starving by lunch time after having eaten them. I have no idea why it happens, but it's thankfully rare. Hang in there.

My friend and I are nurses and both workout and have similar stats and diet patterns. Maybe it's the full moon but we both are eating non stop the past couple nights at work lol. I made some good progress in the gym this week lifting though so I am not surprised. I probably need the extra calories to fuel the progress

look at your weekly totals, some days I'm not that hungry and other days I can't get filled ...but it all evens out.
