Strength Doesn't Show Calorie Burn?

First day on MFP, yay! I'm just wondering, why does strength training not show any calorie burn? I'm aware that in the moment, strength training burns very few calories. But the burn you get through the following hours counts for something! Especially if you're lifting for more than just to maintain or "tone", I lift to gain muscle and muscle mass, so I like to challenge myself and lift a bit heavier. I would think I'd be able to allocate some calories during my day for the calories I'll burn after lifting weights. Thanks!

You have to log it under "weight lifting" in the cardio section. But take it as a very rough estimate because determining calorie burns from lifting is difficult due to all the variables.0

It might be worth using a heart rate monitor to judge the csloroe burn.
The best thing about weights is that u develop musvle which uses more fat. So dont be unduly worried about cslorie burn0 -

Thanks! I'll add that in, I didn't know that was an option. I can guesstimate, then at least I meet my time line everyday, it bugs me that it doesn't say I worked out as long as I did!0
