I'm so glad we don't do Halloween here!

As for the kitkat... try not to overreact so much  You wont be the only one overindulging this weekend. Log it and move on. Start afresh Sunday or Monday.

It's called diet fatigue, I experience it regularly :disappointed: Have you tried eating at maintenance for a while?

How much weight have you lost weight in the 2 years you've been counting?

Have you talked with a therapist? Weight loss is never pleasant, but it really shouldn't feel like all the joy is gone from life, either.

Are you being much too aggressive with your goals? That is very common and is just setting oneself up for failure.

way to go on all that weight loss. You should be damn proud of yourself! !

Yes, calorie counting is annoying and inconvenient for sure. But the extreme feelings you're explaining isn't the norm in my experience.
You definitely need to talk to someone who is more qualified in this department.

its complicated. i lost a lot of weight at first while counting calories, maybe i suppose ive been counting for 3 years...i lost a lot of weight, almost 100 lbs, and i was only 178 lbs...so yeah i was anorexic when i counted calories. now im fat again, probably 148. i cant do it any more, it truly makes me want to die. it takes the joy out of life and i am suffering so much.

So, you started at 178 and went down to 78, and now you're at 148? How tall are you?

The person who read the nutritional information and logged it before they ate it

Try not to be overly dramatic about a chocolate bar ..it's 210 calories, even if it was 2100 calories it's still just one day out of a lifetime of days

Your doctor is an idiot. Do they know you were anorexic? Because they are crazy.

Halloween is hard for everyone with a sweet tooth, so don't sweat the Halloween indulgence!! But I think normally you should eat as much as your TDEE will allow and still lose a little weight consistently.

Maybe have a bigger treat a week if you buy it out instead of getting a bag or box (so you can't eat too many; I do this!). I think a big KitKat sounds lovely as a treat! You can have it and fit it in your calories if you have them set high enough, even if you can't have a big one every day.

My advice may not be a good fit for what you are going through, but that mean doctor isn't doing so well, so there are my 2 cents. And I think the nutritionist is probably wrong. That sounds too low for maintenance, but I don't know your age.

I lost over 35 lbs by losing a third to a half lb a week on purpose, lol. Hey, I'm eating all the treats I can while losing weight any time I have to do it! Kitkats shouldn't be 400 calories. I agree with you very much :)

Here ^ is the TDEE calculator I like to use. You can check out different deficits quickly and easily there.
