Yay! So excited to have some friends here to make me accountable! How are you losing weight? I need tips! Thanks all0
-
I would love to but I'm not sure its possible! That's creating a deficit of 70,000 calories over 60 days, or 1,166 calories a day. Any ideas on how to even do that? I am only losing about 3 pound a month right now while eating 1000 calories a day and working out 5 days a week0
-
10lbs a month? Unless you're well over 200lbs, that's going to be a stretch. While it's ambitious, most people should shoot for about 1% of their body weight for weight loss per week.

I'm determined to try!! I eat crap and don't exercise at all right now so I'm hoping that I can shock my body with good food and cardio plus weights!!0
-
First hurdle - trick or treat night. One of my favorite nights for firepit, smores and adult beverages. It's like a giant block party. Need to refrain from candy and beer...0
-
I'm going to loose 10 by Thanksgiving and another 5 by Christmas and another 5 by New Years...that's my goal, i'm going for it, I've lost 3 so far. If you like dark chocolate, have a nibble on that instead for Halloween night.0
-
We can do this! Let's keep motivating one another!!!0

I wish and hope I can but I try not to set myself up for failure or disappointment by setting big goals. 10-15lb loss I would be happy starting the New Year with:)0
-
Screw it I'm in. I'm at 216 now and I want to finally break 200 by Nye.

Hey this is an awesome goal. Would love some accountability buddies on here if anyone cares to add me !0

For those of you with unrealistic goals, please realize that they are unrealistic.
Don't hurt yourselves.
OP, from your picture you're close to a healthy weight, if not already there, so losing 20 lb is going to be slow,
not going to happen in 2 months. Or rather, if you can do it, you won't be healthy enough to celebrate NYE.
And the 50-lb goal? Go away troll.
There were weeks I lost 5 lb. Several in a row, in fact. But that was when I was more than 100 lb overweight.
Also, I was under supervision of a doctor.

"Most weight loss occurs because of decreased caloric intake.
However, evidence shows the only way to maintain weight loss is to be engaged in regular physical activity."

Thanks for the responses! I won't consider myself a failure if I don't make the 20 pound goal by NYE. I'm shooting for 20 but would be grateful for any weight loss at this point. I am setting a lofty goal as a kick in the butt to get started! Also, my profile picture is from about 3 years ago BEFORE I gained 30 pounds. Again, thanks for the new friends who want to be here to encourage and support one another -that's what this MFP community is all about!!0
