Has anyone here ever worn their HRM for 24 hours to see if the calorie expenditure was close to what it should be?

No, but that's a great idea! I think I'm going to try that tomorrow! Or maybe wear it for an hour in the morning or something. Thanks for the idea!0

I have and found it to be off by a few hundred calories. Although, while sleeping with it I lost my heart rate due to misplacement and slept about 1-2 hours with it out of place. With that said I find it be pretty accurate with the BMR calculator. I plan on trying it again.0

HRMs do not accurately measure calories burned for non-aerobic activity. You would get a better idea just using Harris-Benedict, or with a BodyBugg or BodyMedia device.0
