Just a quick question, my aim is to lose weight, but I will need to tone as well to avoid sagging skin. Should I tone as well as doing cardio or do I wait until iv lost my set amount of weight and then concentrate on toning?

Working out is not going to prevent loose skin, unless you bulk up enough muscle to fill it out. Loose skin is a crapshoot, if you're lucky you're elastic enough for it to snap back. Else there's just surgery.

There's nothing to be done about loose skin. You'll either have it or you won't.

The cardio and weight-lifting are both good for us, each in their own way. No reason to put off beginning either one. If you want to be your healthiest, you'll do both! :)

"Toning" your muscles isn't a thing. What youre thinking of is having enough fat over your muscle so the look softer. It's important to realize what you are trying to obtain because most women don't realize how to get there. Many forsake lifting weights when that is exactly what they need to do.

The time to start lifting is yesterday, at least in my opinion. If you start while on a deficit, it will help you maintain the muscle you already have. The key foy you will be to not cut so much fat that you have a very low body fat percentage.

And this might be a good read:

Do cardio and weight train...and if you are going to weight train, use weight! New Rules for Lifting for Woman is a great way to start, and look into stronglifts 5x5. Loose skin, or not, is mostly genetic and even age driven, there isn't anything you can do it prevent it.

With only 10 pounds to lose, you aren't going to need to worry about lose skin. I would definitely recommend lifting sooner, rather than later.

I wasn't too big to begin with, I'm only losing a stone so I don't mean like drooping skin I meant like a little pouch. I'm losing the weight but the pouch isn't shifting too much :/ hope this makes better sense :)

That doesn't change my answer at all.
