I'M COMMITTED TO THIS, MAN, SO SERIOUS, ITS NOT A GAME ANY MORE.

If anyone could sum up the basics of nutrition in one post, I'd be shocked. I'm going to be honest, nutrition is a complicated thing. Fortunately, our bodies are somewhat forgiving when we're trying our best.

A few tips to get you started:
= Eat less processed foods, basically all those things that come in frozen packages, boxes, and cans. Of course you can't cut out all convenience, but go fresh foods whenever possible
= Watch your sodium levels, all processed food has a lot of added sodium. Too much sodium can hinder weight loss and cause many more health issues such as high blood pressure.
= Eat small meals many times a day to keep your metabolism running strong.
= Never eat less than 1200 calories in a day.
    = Eat breakfast!
= Meals and snacks should contain some protein to keep you fuller longer.

Read the forums, Google any questions, ask more questions! We're here to help!

Eat FRESH!!! Stay away from packaged and overly processed foods as much as possible. Choose whole grains when possible.
Well, that's my 2 cents worth. Best of luck!

    Hi Shawn

    Welcome :)
Your taking the first step which is fantastic. It is most certainly easier said than done, i spend a few years managing a weightloss clinic and know all the "tips and tricks" but applying it is a totally different storey, Its a long road of trial and error.... everyones bodies react differently so start adding people to your friends list and snoop through their meals and get some ideas and track like crazy and BE HONEST... there is no point lieing to yourself

Any help you need feel free to message me im trying to build up my support system as well ha ha.

    Jessica
