Anyone eat these? Are they decent? I found them on Amazon and thought about ordering them.

I NEED more protein because I don't eat meat and am just really bad at managing protein.

Thoughts?

  • I eat the Cliff Kids Bars (They are less calories and less protein) when I am hungry and on the go. I'm sure the builder ones are great for protein though.

I don't know if they have the same flavors but the chocolate brownie is AMAZING!

I love the Chocolate Mint flavor. I did not care for the Peanut Butter. The Vanilla Almond is also good.

Love them!!!! The peanut butter chocolate crunch is awesome and the chocolate brownie... so yummy!!!! The blueberry was odd, but the oatmeal cookie one is delicious as well!!!! I love them when I'm on the go and just don't want to grab something bad!!!

I haven't tried the Cliff bars yet but I just tried the Abbott brand and they are good. I need to add more protein too. I might try making a protein shake, just need to figure out which one to buy.

Yum, but I prefer Zone bars or EAS myoplex lite.

Vanilla almond = win. I used to eat these a lot, like... daily... but I'm trying to cut back to a couple times a week because they have a lot of sugar.
  • Look up Detour bars. They are by far the best protein bar I have found, and they really keep you full for a long time. The smaller ones are 170 calories with 15g of protein, and the larger ones are 240 and 30g of protein. Plus, they're low in sugar.

Pure protein bars are low in sugar 2g and carbs18g with 20g of protein. They also keep you full.

My husband does the builder bars. He likes them well enough. I personally don't think the 20g protein is a good enough trade off for the 20g of sugar. I should add that I can have one of my protein shakes for less sugar, more protein and fewer calories. Your mileage my vary.

I think the builder bars are super yummy. Especially the mint one. I kinda consider them a treat though because they have a lot more sugar than what I usually would want. Pure protein is my go-to bar. I consider that fuel. The builders are more like a treat to me.

I like the idea of these but I would put money on them having a lot of artificial sweeteners in them yea? My body doesn't tolerate ANY kind of non-sugar/honey/molasses sweetener.

I haven't tried the builder bars, but they must be good--all the Clif flavors I"ve tried so far are so, so good. The minis are around 100 calories, good for a PM snack or to drop in my purse for a day of errand running.
