Dropped some folks today

It was a difficult decision. They were good folks. I just don't see the point in taking the time to be encouraging when none is reciprocated.

I've lost almost 2 lbs. this week and nada. Burned 10,000 calories last week and nothing. Wrote some well thought out blogs and only one reply. That has happened several times. I rarely post any blogs or topics for the same reason. Then I could be boring. I don't know.

I guess I could be more interesting if I wrote about TOM ever other day. Which I know so little about except stay away from momma.

Oh well that's my spew for the night.

It happens. You gotta do whats best for you. Hopefully no one takes offense, and I'm sure they will have other people they'll bond with more. Same for you. Sorry your not getting as much encouragement as you need.

Keep up the good work! Congrats on the loss! :flowerforyou:

So you dropped them...then posted here so they would know the reason why you dropped them? Or was this more of a warning to others that send a friend request?
When I am forced to do my cleaning, I post a warning. I figure if someone doesn't speak up, there preferred to be rid of me anyway.

You never call...you never write. This relationship is so one-sided. sad2.gif

That's why I dont want a huge amount of friends on here, the few that I have give me the support I need. I check the website during the day, unless my schedule gets jam packed like on the weekends, I try to make commentary support to at least one different person ever day.

    LOL! we never talk anymore.

My personal thinking was why should I try to force someone to do something they are not inclined to do. So I felt a warning was not the way to go. Most of the ones I dropped were inconsistent anyway. That is they missed days at a time. Maybe they even had reasons. Still they should have said something. One person was gone a month and others around 19 days. Then others posted daily and never contributed anything else, never congratulated or encouraged.

It was just to let them know why I dropped them. I don't give warnings; I've found them counter productive.

I was dropped by an individual without any explanation. Now frankly I'm glad that person is gone. It was like walking on eggshells around her. Still though an explanation would have been thoughtful.

To be honest, I only delete individuals who have been inactive for several months and their profile suggests that they never really got into it. A few months back I deleted a few because I was missing the updates from close MFP and real friends. I find it difficult to keep up with all my friends and feel a bit guilty for it sometimes but whenever I get time I always post a message on their profile to let them know that I am keeping up with their progress and I'm still there to support them. :flowerforyou:

I don't give warnings its extremely attention seeking. If I haven't heard from them for a while I delete them and move on

I have over 90 friends. One of them dropped me. No wait, it was two. And it drove me NUTS trying to figure out who they were! I was seriously thinking of writing all my friend's names down and keeping a list. And when one went missing, tracking them down and giving them a good talking to! Then I backed away from the computer. :blushing:

DITTO. I noticed I went down one and try as I might I couldnt figure out who and it was doing my head in then I clicked...if I couldn't think who it was then I guess I really wasn't that "connected" with them and vice versa. Since discovered who t was and they had deactivated so I guess they just weren't connect with MFP!

Ha ha I've been deleted because my humor is too offensive by few people. I don't even notice I've been deleted until I see them post something on a mutual friend's wall. Then I click on them like "hey what have they been up to? I haven't heard from them in a while", then I know why I haven't heard from them
