In need of support/ help

I really have to work on my health as i have been recently diagnosed with pseudotumer cerebri, which is a false brain tumor. Spinal fluid builds up in my head causing my vision loss. Im having surgery on my eyes but its only temporary; doctors say i need to lose a lot of weight and fast or i will go BLIND!! I really need help/ support/ motivation. I have 100 lbs to lose. Thank you

It has to start with nutrition. If the vision problems are preventing you from regular training, then nutrition is your only weapon. Make sure to limit your sugar intake to 100 g per day or less. On training days you can definitely have more sugar/carbs. In the end tho, the sugar is way way worse than fats, so just limit the refined sugars and eat lots of veggies. That will help even if you can't train

I believe you already have your motivation: you have the best chance of improving your condition and preserving your eyesight if you lose weight. You've made a great start by getting on this site. There is a lot of information and support available here.

My motivation was the threat of developing full-blown diabetes. I have benefited most by keeping my carbs low and "spending" my daily calories on nutritious foods. That's what has worked well for me. I also exercise every day without fail. I use this site to keep a record of what I eat and to be held accountable.

Speak with a nutritionist. Explore this site and figure out which food and exercise plan you can actually stick with day after day. Read the success stories for ideas and for inspiration.

Above all, don't give up. Whatever plan you decide on, there will be days when you fail. Start over the next day and don't give up. You have the power to change one choice at a time.
