Strength Training

How do I get my app to adjust calories for strength training? Even if it's just an estimate? It adjusts my calories for cardio but not strength. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Look up your TDEE and adjust your calories based on that

Under Cardiovascular, log Strength Training0

Add "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" to Cardiovascular to get estimated Calories burned added to your Diary. Please note that the Calories burned for Cardiovascular exercises provided by MFP are based on published metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs), which are estimates for a general population and may differ for you as an individual. If desired, add individual strength training exercises, such as "Biceps Curl," to Strength Training to have a log of sets, reps, and weights as individual exercises.
Please see these articles, and search for other helpful articles on the MFP Help pages...

I never really use these calorie adjustment tools. They are not accurate. I just use my bmr and go from there making adjustments based on the mirror and scale.0

What they said...I think I log mine at "strength training" maybe moderate? It's just an estimation, and it's pretty low, so it hasn't negatively impacted me by doing this. More than anything, I like to track how long my workouts take each week.0

So I understand it's estimated. When I enter my calories for cardio I always go off of what the treadmill tells me I burned, not the app. Is that still possibly pretty inaccurate?
I usually lift pretty hard (I think) for 45 mins to an hour and it only estimates around 130 calories burned, which I feel like is pretty low, so I just go with it.0
