Ok I am currently doing the C25K app on my phone 3 days a week in the evening. I am following Hal Higdons walkers program in the mornings to prepare for the rock n roll half marathon. And now I want to start 30DS to help with toning bc I can feel that my cloths are getting loose but I also feel a lot more wiggly (ms) so I want to start toning now and not wait til I start to lose more actually pounds, but I dont want to stop losing pounds.:ohwell: Does this make sense to anyone else it is kinda hard to explain. :indifferent:

You will still lose lbs on 30DS. IMO it is a fantastic workout w/out much time commitment. I say try it for 2 weeks and see how you do. If you're not getting the results you want, then shelve it until you get a few more lbs off. Good luck in your journey!0

Hi! It makes sense! It sounds like you are doing some great exercise and adding more, especially strength, will only make you fitter, healthier, and a better athlete. I do believe muscle takes a little longer to build than the time it will take to lose fat. I would just be prepared for you to lose weight faster than you are able to replace the "flab" with muscle. All the cardio builds muscle tone too so that will help! good luck!0

I'm doing c210k and tried to do 30DS. Girl, that is H.A.R.D! I decided to hold off until I finish the c210k. Why? I want to put my energy into one thing. I knew if I kept up with 30DS, I might be too sore to run or worse... I might give up.
My fear with doing all that you want to do is that you'll burn yourself out. Many of us (myself included) have an "all or nothing" mentality. When we first start anything, we're GUNG HO! But then... we miss a workout or eat one bad thing and we falter and quit. This time around, I'm trying very hard to realize this needs to be something I can sustain for the long run. If I burn myself out, I'll be right back to square one.
This is about developing a lifestyle you can maintain for the long term. I would advise finishing c25k, then do 30DS (while running a few times a week at your leisure to get more cardio). Focus on one thing at a time. It will happen (more slowly than we'd like - I need to listen to my own advice!), but it will happen.0 -
