Now that Im creeping my way through the 20 range for weight loss Im finally seeing the changes. I did some major spring cleaning and got rid of most of my XL, L and size 14 &16. I did keep my L work out pants but even they are getting too big. Its nice to finally have pants that are too big to wear. Im not financially ready to buy a new wardrobe but I did get 1 pair of size M work out pants and they fit real good.
I was wearing a dress yesterday and I felt like my underwear were falling off!!!!! Even with 24 lbs lost Im still wearing the same size 12 dress pants and most of the same shirts. I carry so much weight in my hips that it takes a lot of weight loss to see a change. The droopy underwear and falling down work out pants make me feel like its all falling into place. No pun intended. Thanks for reading.

Great job! I am going through the same thing this week. I actually kept the tub of skinnier clothes from before I had my youngest (who is now 9). It was like Christmas with the "new clothes". Sure helps with the motivation doesn't it?0

You know...I have lost 28 pounds, and my clothes are just now loose! Seems like things fit around the waist....but, the hips and the stomach are very baggy. I would have thought I would have went down in clothing size majorly.....but, have found that my waist size is slowly coming off. Cant wait until my waist starts showing results!0

I hear ya! I'm 27 lbs down and I'm down to ONE pair of jeans fitting me. and even those are falling down my butt! Lets not talk about my dress pants either... I wore them last week and I KNOW i looked silly. They're huge!0

I'm not quite into the 20 lb weight loss category yet, but I am totally with you. I put on a pair of skinny pants that had been packed away for years. Before I started MFP, I couldn't even get them over my thighs. Now, I can get them up and zipped. The next step is to get the on and zipped without the muffin top. But that victory of getting them on and zipped was HUGE!
Keep up the great work!0 -
I am in the same boat., but my wife won't buy me any new clothes until I drop at least 4 pants size...lo.0

Congratulations on the nsv.0

I am literally LOL because I had a similar experience. Thanks for sharing.
Although I am not seeing the results on the scale, I am seeing it in my clothes; especially my bra & underwear.
The funny thing is I don't want to spend the money to buy smaller ones until I reach my goal. And now that I'm a little smaller, the underwear & bras are a lot cheaper LOL. I've lost 22 lbs since 1/1/11, but still have a ways to go. Good luck to you in your weight loss journey.0 -
Great job.
That reminds me, someone on MFP started a clothing swap for when people are mid-weight loss to avoid spending too much on temporary clothes. Hope it helps someone.

I'm going through the same thing. I just bought some jeans and new underwear a few months ago. Now, my jeans fall off and my undies are saggy. lol. I need to buy some new clothes that fit but I don't want to because I'm still in the process of losing. I was told to buy just a few, cheap things that I can wear now and once I hit my goal, then I can get new wardrobe.0

I went from a size 10/12 to a 2/4. I bought $200 worth of clothes (size 6) when I was losing weight, never thinking I would EVER get down to a size 2. Now even my NEW clothes are too big. I broke down and went to GoodWill and bought two pairs of jeans to get me through until I am at my goal weight - I just can't spend anymore money on NEW clothes until I am where I want to be0

Good to know it's coming. I started here as a 14\16 and although I bought a pair of size 12's a few weeks ago (maybe just that brand runs big?), my old clothes are still not anywhere near too big on me
Can't wait for something to fall off0 -
ROFL...gave me a good chuckle! Keep up the awesome work!0

You should see me run. Im constantly pulling up my pants. I have about 30 more lbs to go so I may have to get a few things to hold me over. Luckily my bra and shirt size hasn't changed much. My girls weren't large to start with and i tend to wear my work out clothes on most days.0

I've got the same problem. I bought new jeans because I ripped a hole in my other pair. I was a size down (14->12) and now those are falling off me. They're ridiculous; they look like clown pants.
That's the best motivator as far as I'm concerned :-)
Way to go!0
