this morning I weighed in on MFP. Then a question pops up. If I wanted to recalculate my exercise and calorie goals because I've lost ten lbs since my original weigh in. I said no. Should I have??? I've only been tracking my intake for about a week and most of the first five lbs were baby weight. I just gave birth 5 weeks ago. Please help with a lil advise. Thanks

I believe the reason it asked that because the closer you get to your goal, the more you have to eat to keep the results. If you have a lot to lose, a person can sustain a 1200 cal diet but if you aren't far from your goal weight, you should reduce the deficit that MFP is producing for you.0 -
I was wondering this too?0

This happened to me yesterday. I am near what I originally put in as my goal weight. I changed it to lower my ultimate goal weight ( I didn't like seeing such a huge goal number so I am baby stepping it. haha). When I lowered my goal weight by an additional 15 pounds, It only reduced my caloric intake by 120 calories a day. You do what you are comfortable with. If you hit a plateau then I would think about adjusting it.0

Yeah I still have about 40 lbs to go. I'll readjust when I lose another ten. Thank you. Just got nervous don't want to set myself up for failure.0 -
it asks you this question (or is supposed to) every 10 pounds. i always say yes, but it never actually adjusts anything because im so far away from ym goal. as i get closer to it, i think my calories will increase but im not sure....0
