Hi everyone! I have lost 20cms, 5kgs according to my home scale, and 5-6% body fat over the last 3 months. Im happy with my slow but consistent efforts and I train pretty hard to get the body that I want. I would love to hear from all the ladies on if they've suffered with cellulite and what they have found has dramatically improved or gotten rid of it! (Thighs) Thanks so much! So excited for the next 5 kgs or 5% Bf drop:)

I have not had to deal with it. I have always read that it is genetic, and that it is just fat and that with a low enough body fat percentage it shouldn't be visible anymore. It's more about the body fat percentage than a weight because we've all seen fairly thin women that still have it. But! I could be wrong, perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in.

The only thing that seems to help me is a high protein diet and drinking lots of water.

Diet is the main thing which does it for me. If I'm consuming a lot of caffeine and dairy that makes the orange peel super noticeable. (eg...if I get a coldsore, I eat a lot of dairy to produce lysine. Gets rid of the coldesore but gives me a lot of cellulite! Face or thighs to be yucky I guess...)

If I cut back on dairy and coffee it reduces a LOT and also squats and cycling can reduce it to basically nothing.

Lifting weights has reduced mines. Hoping that by dropping body fat but sparing lean mass will improve it even more

It pretty much comes down to genetics, but as you lose fat, it will reduce in appearance.

It involves the connective tissue, so it's not just fat exactly. I mean, it is fat, but it looks the way it does because of the connective tissue pulling in odd ways. Men's connective tissue is different, so that's why they don't get it. It's genetic how it'll go in women, apparently.

I can't help you on success with it, unfortunately. It's worse the bigger you are, and exercise helps compared to no exercise, but you won't know if yours will go totally away until you know. You know? ;)

I have mad cellulite on my butt and thighs. It's getting better since I've lost weight (I'm still losing), but it still looks bad. I will say however that doing lots of strength training seems to be helping. I don't know if the underlying muscles becoming firmer is changing the appearance of it or what, but it looks more smoothed out somehow.

Some men get it if they are low in testosterone. So it is from a hormone "imbalance". If you take any meds that increase estrogen, like certain antibiotics and birth control pills, ask your doctor about alternatives. Heavy strength training might be able to alter your hormone levels too. :+1:

I used to have MAD cellulite on the backs of my legs...since increasing my squats and adding weights, it seems like it's drastically improved. It's not gone, but better.

That's interesting! I have both too much estrogen and too many androgens still (I have PCOS and endometriosis), so a definite imbalance that we're still working on. I've definitely avoided extrogenous estrogens for a decade, but not before then, being on the pill.

That high estrogen is a b%(*$ in lots of ways, darnit!

I used to have a bit of cellulite on my thighs. Since going to the gym 6 day's a week doing weights, Cardio and sticking to CI/CO it has finally gone away. I also think genetics have alot to do with it. Good luck ☺

The appearance of My cellulite is heavily dependent on my weight and whether I am exercising. Tanning sorta helped me (somehow had won some free sessions) but I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the risks

I have eliminated the look of cellulite on the back of my thighs (it's still lurking beneath tho. Lol) and have reduced the look on the sides of my leg to just a dimple or two with cardio and resistance training.

Same. If I'm not lifting, my cellulite is pretty ugly. When I am lifting, it's basically nonexistent. At 46, I think basically nonexistent cellulite is a pretty good achievement.

I have very low body fat and I still have cellulite...as another poster mentioned, it's not always about the amount of body fat you have, but the way it's physically arranged under the skin. I'm not as lean as my avatar, but I'm very close, and have some cellulite on my rear/inner thighs. Oh well! I had far more cellulite when I had more body fat, so reducing that helps, but likely won't completely eliminate it.
