Hi I'm looking for a step counting gadget for the wrist that is simple to use with this app. Any recommendations?
Thanks

    How many bells & whistles?

A Fit Bit Zips counts steps & syncs with MFP. It doesn't track sleep or stairs. Discreet clip on.

A Fit Bit One counts steps & syncs with MFP. It does track sleep and stairs. Discreet clip on.

A Fit Bit Flex counts steps & syncs with MFP. It does track sleep, but not stairs. Worn on the wrist. Some wrist type activity trackers will count driving as steps.

A Fit Bit Charge HR counts steps & syncs with MFP. Is also designed so you can track cardio workouts with a heart rate monitor. This is great if your cardio workouts are something non-step based. It does track sleep and stairs.

The Fit Bit group has tons of info too: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users

I just have a Fitbit Flex. Fitbit has a large and active population. Meaning there is no shortage of "friends" with which to do challenges and to interact.

I use a jawbone similar to flex but prettier...less cheap plastic watch looking.

syncs with MFP and mapmy....tracks sleep and active minutes, you can track other workouts as well with a timer...idle alert can be set and a silent alarm that vibrates at the best time during sleep cycle to wake you.

Moving to UP3 potentially as it tracks rem sleep too and rhr

app is great with a smart coach giving tips etc...
