Good Day everyone.

Finally got around to introducing myself to the community.
First off, congrats to the creator - Mike. I like being able to find nutritional info on many of the foods that I eat. I've done the "counting calories" before but it was such a hassle to constantly be trying to find the nutritional info for different products. And of course trying to work the kcal by myself was a major headache.

So, i've been a part of this site now for about 7 days and i've lost around 4lbs so far. Ecstatic? Oh Yeah!!
The only difficulty i've encountered so far is still trying to create all those wonderful dishes i love but cutting down the calories, fats, and sugars.

Cheers everyone! To all of us losing weight!!

    Hello.

I am also a foodie. Love nothing more than good food. I'm also learning to change all of my eating/cooking habits. I joined 2 weeks ago and have lost 8 lbs so far. I started by making simple changes...no fried foods, using butter substitutes when cooking, and lotssssssssss of water.

    Good luck.

You might already know this, but replace any fat in a recipe(butter, oil, etc.)with applesauce-equal amounts. I made banana bread with it instead of a stick of butter. I also replaced the 2% milk with Pure Silk almond milk. It cut the calories down by 780!! It was still quite good, too.
