I would be pretty happy that I skipped the elliptical. Because ugh...elliptical.

Feeling regret is not going to bring forth a positive outcome -- it is not going to burn extra calories or make you feel better about yourself.

All you can do is try again tomorrow.

“There are two types of pain you will go through in life, the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. Discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tonnes.”

    ― Jim Rohn

And on to another overused quote: "Skipping one workout is not going to break your fit lifestyle. Just like working out once is not going to make you fit" <- Ok, I kind of made that one up -- but you get my point...

Just be sure to get on it tomorrow. If I skip a workout or two I know my mind will regret it more than my body. My goal is to "just get on the machine for even 5 min" or "just push play on my DVD". Once started I usually get back into it. But even if I have a lousy and short workout, I tried, and it's better than nothing.

There are other ways to get your cardio in. If I know I'm not able to get in the time/routine I want, I look for alternatives (power walk at lunchtime or run up and down the stairs for example). I also find it easy to get off track with diet when I'm not able to get in exercise. You have to plan and have discipline. It's also ok to fall off track as long as you get right back at it! Don't get defeated.
