Starting over from scratch in the morning I'm a serial dieter that is now obsessed which leads to failing/binging for the last year or two. I need to lose 4/5 stone but all I think of now is what diet to try and fail after a few days! Does anyone ignore the macros and just count calories? Eat what you want-healthy but if there's room for chocolate add it in! Need serious advice please there's so much information out there

I really also tend to obsess about what I'm eating, how much I weight, and it always ends up not working. I stopped paying attention to macros as much. I am still working on staying in my calories and being active. I figure if I work up slowly to changing habits, the change will stick and be more sustainable. To me, making a lifestyle change means doing something realistic and reasonable. Counting out every macro to a T is not something I'll probably do for the rest of my life, so I don't stress it too much. Putting too much pressure on yourself might not be the best idea. Some people do well with super strict guidelines, and others don't. You know yourself the best. good luck!

Thank you! I'll concentrate on calories then to a least get the first few stone off! That I can do but the macros though are too hard not even sure what they should be
