Hi, I'm 53, menopausal woman and have lost 100# several years ago. I maintained up until last year and want to lose the last 30#. I keep reading low carbs, low fat, vegetarian, etc, etc....what program is the best for the last and final 30# on my body. My body has changed and dense in the middle but overall, my body is in proportion. Please provide advise on what to do...I've done well but honestly not sure what to do anymore...I eat about 1500 calories a day, five small meals a day and I do log my food in MFP. I just started working out....again. I work a 10-12 hour day, no kids so no distractions except very tired when I get home from working, groceries, preparation of snacks and lunches, a dog who goes to daycare...I know, I know...lol Keeps her weight down though..... Any help is appreciated...

Eating at a calorie deficit is the only thing you NEED to do. Any program is optional, to be used only if you find it is the best way for you to create a deficit.

100 lbs down is a huge accomplishment, maintaining that loss even more so. What did you do that worked for the 100 lbs?

Keep focused on the big picture stuff: Logging accurately, regular exercise, having a balance of fat, protein, and carb in your diet, and most of all, having a small caloric deficit. Keep in mind that having lost 100 lbs and maintaining, you are probably now doing better than most people who have bariatric surgery. I would say to be realistic, gradually increase your exercise, carry a small deficit, and focus on health goals rather than weight goals. Just my two cents.

Make sure to read the first post in this forum, "Most Helpful Posts".

The only "diet" you need is a calorie deficit. :+1:
