Just curious how everyone celebrates their goals(major and minor)
I started at 230 with my first goal of 180. I am nearing it with about 5 more to go before I maintain for a bit and start on my 2nd goal of 170 and hopefully finish out at 165 for my healthy weight. But in order to celebrate I don't know what I want to do yet. A part of me wouldn't mind buying a nice new laptop or PlayStation or some other expensive electronics, but a part of me also wants to go to one of those all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse (after all its protein, can't be all bad right )
So looking for ideas on what everyone else has done

Travel ... I suppose. I would have travelled anyway, but it was nice to have reached a goal before I did.0

Shoes! At first I wanted to buy new clothes every time I dropped a size but that became impractical and expensive. Instead I have been shopping in my closet (glad I save my favorites from when I was smaller) and having things tailored. I am waiting for the BIG shopping spree for when I reach goal (about 20 pounds from now).0

By being happy I hit it. Then I move on to the next one. I'd be more extravagant if I weren't impoverished but happiness is free so that'll have to do for now.0

I don't reward myself for lbs lost... that reward is pure excitement and motivation.
Ibreward myself for the hard stuff: working out. If I complete 80% of my monthly workouts, I get to pick from a list. My list has things like: a massage, a visit to the chiropractor, teeth whitening, haircut, etc.0 -
I used to treat myself with something to eat, but now I just say Woo Hoo and begin working on the next thing.0

For my first milestone I went out to a west end musical. For my second I want to do something more active that I usually wouldn't eg; rock climbing or zip wire course. And I always treat my self with a nice meal still in calorie budget.0

I splashed out on new clothes in smaller sizes that I wouldn't have had the confidence to wear when I was bigger! It felt SO GOOD.0

Celebrate each milestone with a new pair of pants/new clothes to compliment your weight loss. I am in dire need of new winter clothes but I refuse to buy anything until I reach my goal weight. Shopping for clothes will be a blast once I'm smaller.
Brazilian steak houses are the greatest! I will be going tomorrow evening for my anniversary. I've exercising extra all week in anticipation of going. One splurge at the buffet can mess up a week worth of progress. Find healthy ways to reward yourself, the PlayStation is a great idea. Try to get out of the rewarding yourself with food mindset as I'm sure that contributed to your weight gain in the first place.
Awesome job on your progress so far and best of luck with the rest of your journey.

Losing weight is a treat all in itself for me:)0

I reward myself for each ten pound drop, manicures, pedicures, a new tattoo once...My next reward is to get my computer checked by a specialist. I'm about 20 pounds from goal so I figure my loss will slow down. If it gets really slow, I may reward myself for each 5 pound loss.0

I was happy dancing around the house like a goof. Hubby attached rewards to every 25lbs lost. I'm ok with that.0

Lipstick or other small 'discretionary' spend.0

I used to do "when...then" but have decided my reward is being healthier and more energetic with each goal met.0

By setting even loftier goals0

New clothes!
(Not a complete wardrobe, just a few new pieces.)0
