I read online if you chew gum everyday for a whole year you'll lose ten pounds?
But how long a day?
Just wondering if it was true because if it is i can definitely do it.

I've read that chewing gum will increase bloating. All that air.

    Well, I would not...

By chewing, you will probably be a lot more hungry (you would generate more saliva, which prepares your stomach for the next meal).
Plus you would get aerophagia by chewing so much.

Plus nobody has done it, so this is probably some calculation based on the movement of the jaw muscle. Which means if you want to lose 10 pounds passively, you might want to purchase those ankle or wrist weights.

The problem with chewing gum is you're working very small muscles (your jaw) and you're swallowing quite a bit of air in the process which adds to bloating. There are far easier ways to drop 10 lbs in a year like reducing your mayo use, cutting out some soda, or any other small thing.

How about a 20 minute walk every day for a year? I bet you could do that, too.
    (It's more likely to work.)

The concept behind this could be that you don't pick at food? I know I do this as I work at a food place and I have a tendancy to pick at everythign but if you have gum in your mouth you can't/won't.
