Hi. I'm looking for friends that are trying to conceive. I have pcos (so it's hard to lose weight but not impossible). My husband and I have been ttc #1 for 8.4 years With no luck. With all the stress, I've gained 100 lbs in 9 years. Now I need to lose it. So I could use all the support I can get. Add me please.

Right there with you lady! My hubby and I have been TTC off and on for about 5 years. My doc says he doesn't "think" I have PCOS but I have many PCOS symptoms so I think I may be borderline. I'm 5'4.... I eat around 1400-1600 cals/day was working out 5-6x/week but I have a stress fracture in my foot that has me wearing a boot for 6 weeks so now I'm just biking for about 45-60min every other day and lowering my cals on the days I don't work out. I've found that cutting out simple carbs has really helped me lose weight. My hubby and I don't eat carbs at dinner most nights. Just a lean protein & veggies. I try to eat my carbs early in the day before my workout so I can burn them off. Also, I watch my sugar intake very closely as diabetes runs in my family. As for TTC - my OB suggested taking Myo Inositol supplements to increase my fertility and after 2 months I'm ovulating... luteal phases are normal.... cycle is really regulating so I'd definitely recommend it. Good luck! Feel free to add me!

    Good luck.

An endo.....no. I have been to a fertility specialist though. I'm going to find an endo though since I know they are better with women that have pcos.

I'm TTC too, although I don't have pcos but still don't have regular cycles from coming off depo. Trying to get my weight down to a healthy bmi while trying as apparently depo gets stored in fat cells. Hoping that shifting these 30lbs will help things along a little. Welcome to add me

I have PCOS and type 2 diabetes. I just got the ok from 2 out of 3 doctors to start trying again. I have to get my sugars down some first. I'm trying to get there as quickly as possible. U see life has sucked for me the last 3 years. September 2012 I lost my 5 yr old son to medical issues, and then in April 2013 I got hit by a drunk driver head on. Shattered my femur and fractured pelvis. I've spent the last two years going thru 5 surgeries on my leg. Learning to walk all over again. I want a baby so badly.... And am so close to b able to start trying I need the extra motivation and support right now. Beth G.

I also have PCOS and endometriosis. Hoping to lose some weight and then start trying in April 2016 but it's proving much more difficult than it was when I was younger. I used to be fairly active but tore my ACL and Meniscus in March of 2015 and had to put surgery off until August, in the meantime I packed on the weight due to limited mobility, poor eating habits and PCOS. Just started my weight loss journey over again and I'm down 12lbs. I would LOVE to have some fellow PCOSers as friends to encourage and support eachother.

Try acupuncture. I initially went for stress related issues. The acupuncturist worked on my female functioning and balanced my hormones. She never told me what she was focusing on and when I told her I was pregnant (after being told by a fertility specialist that I would never conceive), she quietly said- I wanted you to get through a full cycle first. Had a beautiful daughter in 2010. May not be the answer for everyone, but my stress levels definitely decreased after the first two sessions.

My husband and I are planning on TTC again once I get my weight down to a healthy place. I dealt with Gestational Diabetes during my last pregnancy, that was severe enough that I required insulin. I want to do everything I can to avoid going through that again, because it can lead to complications with the baby (luckily my daughter was fine, but there are definite risks involved).

I will be, in the next couple years. We're planning to start trying 2018-2019. I want to get to my goal weight and maintain until then. I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble. I wish you the best in your life.

Well after reading more about others success I've decided to try for 70 lbs. I'm at 287 so that will be 217 and a BMI of 35. That will be awesome just thinking that is probably best considering if and when I have the kid, then I'll have to keep up with it too. Just my nieces make me tired

Trying to have a baby is what motivated me to get back on here. Hubby and I got married in June last year and we decided we would like to start trying around our 1 year anniversary. I would like to get down about 50 lbs before then and just overall develop a healthier lifestyle.

I also have PCOS and have been TTC since November 2014. It's been a short (compared to others) but really rough and emotional journey. I've tried the clomid route which didn't work and I stopped doing that because the acupuncturist who I started seeing recommended taking a step back from medications and try to naturally start my cycle back up (when I went off BCP in Nov'14 I wasn't ovulating/no period). So I did that for a little over 3 months which started becoming very expensive. So I stopped that too because it didn't make me feel confident that it would work--for the amount of money I was spending. I got screwed over by a reproductive endocrinologist so I haven't taken any other steps with fertility medication. I did see an endocrinologist for my thyroid and he was the one who prescribed me metformin. I got my period about a month after starting metformin but it's been rocky. After 1 (seemingly) successful ovulation I haven't had another stable cycle. My last one was extremely long and this cycle is just all over the place. My temperatures are crazy, if I even remember to take them, seeing as I am dealing with hopelessness and giving up.
Anyone who would like to friend me, feel free. It's nice to have others going through the same thing for support.

I'm right there with you guys. My husband has a rare chromosomal disease and we are currently weighing our options to assist us in trying to conceive. I am doing my part to get healthy to mitigate any potential obstacles in our path due to my weight. I would love any support from you ladies. Please add me.
