Hunger

Not sure why, been dieting and exercising for 8 mo now, and for past 3 days I have been hungry all day, even after meals. I had this when I first started dieting, but went away after a couple of weeks as my body adjusted. Haven't changed anything in my diet recently, and my weight loss had been pretty steady.
Anyone had similar story?

That happens to me every once in awhile. I eat something a little sugary like a piece of candy. Sometimes it's almost like I need a little junk food to feel full.0

have you had a diet break? if not, you might need to take a couple of weeks of eating a maintenance if this continues.0

The hunger hits me when I go to bed! I drink a glass of milk - at 110 calories, I'm not sure it's a good idea.0

I make myself a cup of hot chocolate with Hershey's baking cocoa powder and splenda. It's warm, and just enough to take that edge off to make me feel satisfied. The cocoa powder only has 10 calories per tablespoon, so it's a low-calorie treat, depending on the milk you use. (It has to be milk, you can't do water with baking chocolate.) I use 4oz of whole milk and 4 oz of water, so it's about 80 calories total and super chocolaty.0

I agree with @jacklifts, you definitely need to give your body a little rest from dieting and re-set your metabolism.0

Thanks for the responses everyone, @gun4a and @jacklifts, I usually have a maintaince day once per week, but your right, it has been about 3 months since I have ate at maintaince, and that was for about 5-6 days only, may have to try that for a week or two.0

I was going to post exactly the same thing today. I have been eating approx 1200 cals (approx) over the last month and have been doing beginner 30dqy shred. Over the past two days I have felt so hungry and I always feel hungry before going sleep. I end up going down for a plate of cereal and always feel guilty...0

@adheela, that seems like a low amount of calories, what is your maintainance calories? I would be careful about how low you go regularly for losing weight, I do the 1-lb per week loss goal. I am going to try to eat maintaince for a week and see how that goes, with keeping my workouts at 3-4x a week. So far the extra calories today has been helping in keeping me more balanced, I'll have to see how it goes for the rest of the week.0
