Lifting and gaining inches

Hello Guys, I need an advice. I have been lifting somewhat heavy for past two - three months, two days a week. I lifted with trainer splitting upper and lower body days. I also did HIIT for 25 mins (Focus T25) 4 days a week. I can see some muscle definition, my thighs and butt are firmer and I see less cellulite on my hamstrings, my stomach is leaned out a little bit too. But I have gained a pant size! All my clothes fit super tight! Is this normal? It can not be water weight after such a long time. I am just wondering what kind of experience other ladies have had with heavy lifting and what I should expect.

I gained 5 lbs instantly and now it is kind of plateaued. Never lost any weight.

I try to eat between 1300-1400 calories. I don't track religiously so it prob varies. My TDEE is 1700, I think. I know that diet has a big impact on weight loss. But I was wondering if the gaining inches on butt and thigh was something other people experienced too.

    How's your diet?

Edit: I ask because you haven't filled in your diary for at least a week. Now when I lift, I get HUNGRY, and it's very possible you've been just eating more than you think you are.

Yes it is entirely possible that I overeat on days I do not log. So will I get like mini bulk?
