I'm going out to eat tonight with my brother and his wife....
I just started my journey Monday and I'm doing awesome already down 2 pounds. I'm just nervous about eating out I don't want to mess up my flow....
Should I even be worried about this ?

Do you know where you will be eating? If so, check their menu online and pre-plan.
Most restaurants serve bread or chips (eg Mexican) when you first sit down. Instead, sip you water and concentrate on conversing with your family. Relax and enjoy yourself.0 -
I wouldn't worry. Just choose wisely from the menu. Look for grilled or baked options instead of breaded and fried. Eat sensible portions even if the portions served are not sensible (ask for a to-go box if needed). Don't order sugary drinks.
You may see a little weight gain from sodium intake as most restaurant meals are very high. Just stay hydrated and it will pass in a couple of day.0 -
Here's a super easy way to count the calories and make sure it's a reasonable portion. Eat half, and package half. If you are worried you will be too tempted to eat the whole thing, as for the carry-out container as soon as the food is served. Don't ask for it ahead of time; the server always gets mixed up.
Pick salad instead of fries.0 -
And don't weigh yourself the morning after; wait a day or two. Higher-sodium meals can cause some water retention, so give it a day or two to resolve before you weigh in.0
