just chiming in re the food scale... My husband has a crack every single time he sees me use the food scale. My mum and sister had the anorexia talk with me when they found out I was weighing my food!

Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. This is MY weight loss path to success. And without the food scale I would be very far off the mark, as I am terrible at guestimating weights...

Thank you! I'm pretty bad at guestimating too. Especially since, I admit, I often do it in a way so that the red number doesn't show up. I hate that! :worried:

Are you using a food scale to get an accurate calorie count?
Chances are, if you're not losing you're most likely eating too much. How did you come up with 1910 calories a day? That seems like a lot.

Its probably from MFP! I get that high of a number if I go past lightly active. People always seem shocked but its from the site! My daily allotment for lightly active is close to 1800 but Im bigger than the OP.

I would also make sure you're measuring your food with a scale and not cups. I just started using mine maybe a week or so ago and knowin Im being more accurate now helps me when I go up on the scale. Your plan from your follow up post is good, and do your best to plan your meals ahead of time. I know I find that to be HUGE in my success.

I'm older than you but 5'5" female who started at 170 lbs after having kiddos 7 years ago. I'm now 135 lbs for the last two years after holding steady at 150 for three years prior to that. I currently run 20-30 miles a week and lift, swim and paddle board to cross train. I have done this all eating no more than 1300-1800 calories a day (depending on my run that day. And to be honest if I eat 1800 I probably ran a half marathon or more that day.) I don't feel starved. I eat protein, healthy fats, whole grains and very little sugar. I set my activity level at low to moderate and then log my cardio. I eat back maybe 20-30% of my workout calories. A few tips... 1. The quality of your food does matter. 2. Calorie burns are wildly inaccurate at times and most people way overestimate what they are burning. 3. If you aren't weighing your food it's very easy to underestimate.
    4. Everyone is different and has different caloric needs so the best thing to do is be consistent and see what works for you. But without consistently logging, exercising and maintaining a healthy quality of good it will be hard to pinpoint that sweet spot where you lose but aren't too hungry.
